Upgrading the Knowledge Base

Over the course of the next week, we are upgrading the platform of the Knowledge Base and ELMCIP site from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7. The changes should result in better performance, and will open the door to some improvements we have planned for later this year, including more features for logged-in users of the database and better export capabilities for sharing the information in the Knowledge Base with other international projects in the field.

The Knowledge Base will be accessible for people to search and read during this time, though contributors will not be able to add new records until the migration is complete.

During the first year of the ELMCIP project, we have already gathered more than 1700 records of works, crtiical writing, authors, organizations, publishers, events, and teaching resources relevant to the study and practice of electronic literature in a uniquely cross-referenced platform. We have gathered not only metadata documenting bibliographic information but also archival source material. You can find dozens of hours of videos of lectures and readings, some full text papers, even some source files of individual works within the Knowledge Base.

We look forward to continuuing to develop this roubst research and teaching resource with the participation of the international electronic literature research and writing community.
